What Our Team Says
Real stories from people who joined our team and built their career with us.
"I joined Xcel with no care experience – just a desire to help people. The training was brilliant and supportive. Five years later, I'm now a senior carer with my Level 3 Diploma, supporting clients with complex dementia care. It's the most rewarding career I've ever had. I go home every day knowing I've made a real difference."
Sarah M.
Senior Care Assistant, 5 years at Xcel Homes
"The flexibility is what attracted me initially – I needed part-time hours around childcare. But I've stayed because the team genuinely cares about staff as much as clients. Management are supportive, the clients are lovely, and I'm learning so much. I've just started my Level 2 Diploma with Xcel's support."
James P.
Care Assistant, 2 years at Xcel Homes
"I moved into care after retail management and it's the best career change I've made. Working with older people is so fulfilling – the stories they share, the relationships you build, knowing you're helping them stay independent at home. Xcel has excellent training and I'm now working towards my Level 3 to become a team leader."
Lisa T.
Care Assistant, 1 year at Xcel Homes
